Brave firefighter Thai Ngo Hieu promoted in rank
PANO – General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, on April 11 signed a decision on promotion from the rank of Lieutenant to Senior Captain to firefighter Thai Ngo Hieu from Dong Nai province’s fire prevention and rescue police division.

Previously, on April 11, 2022, while swimming at Phuoc Tinh beach, Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Hieu saw many people shouting to rescue a group of young people drowning at the beach. Without hesitation, Hieu quickly swam toward the victims and rescued four young people.
With the brave spirit of a fireman, Hieu tried his best to save the four victims, took the victims ashore, and provided them with the first aid.
His brave action has contributed to beautifying the image of police officers in the people’s hearts, who are always willing to help and protect people in any circumstances.
The same day, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc applauded Hieu’s bravery and hoped that examples of self-sacrificing people would be spread in the community.
