PANO - A delegation of the People’s Army Newspaper, led by its Editor-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Le Phuc Nguyen, on October 31st, offered incense at General Vo Nguyen Giap’s altar in Hanoi and presented the general’s family with special editions of the newspaper.
The newspaper’s four publications, daily, weekly, monthly and online, published numerous articles praising the general’s great contributions to the country and reporting the heart-felt feelings of the people during his funeral.
On this occasion, Vo Hong Nam, one of General Vo Nguyen Giap’s sons, expressed his family’s appreciation for the love of the army and people for the general, as well as the accurate and timely reports of the People’s Army Newspaper during the funeral process.
Lt. Gen. Le Phuc Nguyen said that during the funeral days, the People’s Army Newspaper staff tried their best to fulfil the special task of reporting about the event. Moreover, the newspaper launched a movement to follow General Vo Nguyen Giap’s example and the movement has been highly appreciated by many units.
