PANO - The People’s Committee of Danang city and World Bank (WB) in Vietnam inaugurated a street named after the former President of the State Council Vo Chi Cong, and two bridges sponsored by WB, in Danang on April 30th.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and WB Director in Vietnam Victoria Kwakwa attended the event.
Vo Chi Cong Street is 5.194 kilometers long, while the Nguyen Tri Phuong and Khue Dong Bridges cross the Cam Le and Cai Rivers, respectively. These structures, constructed at a cost of VND 1,220 billion, link the centre and the southwest sections of Danang city.
Addressing the event, Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly valued the efforts and strong consensus of the Party committee and people of Danang city in the cause of urban construction and development. He hoped that Danang city would continue strongly developing infrastructure, contributing to hunger elimination, poverty reduction and sustainable development.
