PANO - A seminar, themed “Promoting the Studying and Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Example, Thought and Lifestyle”, was held on October 12 at the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN)’s headquarters in Hanoi by the newspaper, the Department of Information and Training under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, the Institute of Ho Chi Minh and Party Leaders of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Attending the seminar were scientists, researchers, leaders of localities, organizations and army units.

PAN’s Editor-in-Chief, Major General Pham Van Huan; Director of the Department of Information and Training, Major General Tran Hoai Trung; Head of the Institute of Ho Chi Minh and Party Leaders, Associate Professor and Doctor Pham Ngoc Anh co-chaired the seminar.

Such a seminar was part of practical and effective activities with an aim of improving the quality of learning, comprehending and carrying out the Politburo’s Directive No.05 on “Promoting the studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, thought and lifestyle” as well as the Military Central Commission’s Permanent Members’ Directive No.87 on enhancing studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, thought  and lifestyle in a deeper and more effective manner.

Nearly 20 speeches were delivered at the seminar.

During the seminar, the delegates analyzed and clarified such contents as the significance, contents and new points of the Politburo’s Directive No.05 in comparison with that of the Politburo’s Directive No.03; the key contents in the implementation of the Military Central Commission’s Permanent Members’ Directive No.87; the implementation of the two above directives in line with reality of localities and army units in order to obtain practical achievements; the fixing of remaining shortcomings when carrying out the directives; the role of Party organizations, authorities, organizations, leaders and responsibilities of cadres, Party members and local people for Directive No.05 performance.
