Poster-painting contest on national seas and islands launched

PANO - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on February 16th, announced a new painting contest for posters on the subject of the national seas and islands, building new rural areas and 65th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.
The contest aims to enhance people’s patriotism and consciousness of sovereignty over national seas and islands, and their awareness on the National Target Program on Building New Rural Areas as well as encourage artists to increase people’s understanding of their tasks and responsibility to the country in the renewal period.
All professional and amateur painters, Vietnamese people and expatriates can send an unlimited number of entries on 54x79cm paper to the organising board not later than April 30th. The entries should not have been entries in any previous contests.
The organiser will offer a first prize worth VND10million, two runner-ups, two third places and some other prizes.
