The introduction of the app is part of activities in response to the International Day for Biodiversity (May 22nd). The app enables users identify up to 300 species in the endangered list as well as banned products from wild animals.

Based on the Wildscan, wildlife law enforcement agencies can correctly identify, report and handle cases of illegal wildlife trafficking without consulting official documents.
