Over 7,200 Vietnamese nationals have been sent to work abroad in October, raising the total number of overseas workers to nearly 75,000 in the past ten months.

These figures were released by the Department of Overseas Labour under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).

Accordingly, Taiwan is the most attractive market recruiting more than 31,000 Vietnamese people, followed by the Republic of Korea (RoK) (14,942), Malaysia (8,400), Japan (5,778) and Saudi Arabia (3,367).

To fulfill the target of sending 87,000 labourers to work overseas, the Department is working closely with local authorities to implement the project to support labour exports in poor districts.

The MOLISA is also cooperating with the RoK Ministry of Employment and Labour (MOEL) to select 15,000 employees for RoK employers.
