PANO - As many as 98 of the best graduates from universities and academies across Hanoi participated in an incense offering ceremony and had their names written in the Golden Book at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, on August 23rd.

The exchange, entitled “Lighting up dreams of students with the best academic records in Hanoi” and held at the Temple of Literature on the morning of the same day, helped these students and other youths of the capital city be aware of their role and responsibilities for building up the capital city and the country.

The exchange also encouraged these best students to exert even more effort in study, in order to succeed in their career and life.

In talks with the best graduates in the afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, on behalf of the Government, hailed their outstanding academic records and their efforts to surmount difficulties in life to achieve such records.

Confirming that the country has always considered the talented as the national quintessence, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam asked the graduates to continue studying, establish their positions in society, set up their own businesses, and achieve their own aspirations so that they could support other people in the future.

In the evening, the 98 best graduates attended a ceremony honoring them at the Temple of Literature. This is the 13th continuous year Hanoi has organized such a ceremony.

Commending the honored for their special achievements, Vice Permanent Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Hong Khanh hoped that the graduates would try their best to achieve more in the future.

On behalf of the honored, Hoang Ngoc Anh, a graduate of the Academy of Finance, promised to study harder to contribute to the cause of building the capital city and the country.

Among the 98 best graduates this year, 74 are females. Notably, 11 out of the 98 honored are graduates from military universities and academies.

So far, 1,335 graduates have been honored and given merit certificates by Hanoi People’s Committee.
