At his meeting with the association’s delegation on May 14 in Hanoi, General Do Ba Ty emphasized that Thai Binh, a province with glorious revolutionary traditions, has greatly contributed to the two national resistance wars against foreign invaders and to the current national building and defense cause.

He also stressed that the Party, State and NA value highly and always remember the sacrifices and great contributions of the Thai Binh provincial Party committee, authorities and people.

He recalled that thousands of Truong Son troops, including Thai Binh provincial volunteer youths, front line workers had bravely and resiliently fought foreign invaders on the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, contributing to the nation’s entire victory on April 30, 1975. With their feats of arms, Truong Son troops were honored and conferred with the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” and other noble orders namely Ho Chi Minh and Golden Star.

The Traditional Association of Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Trail of Thai Binh province now has 15,654 members.
