With ten chapters and 87 articles, the law prescribes the planning, investment, building, protection, management, maintenance and development of railway infrastructure.
It also mentions the railway industry, railway order and safety, railway business, rights and obligations of relevant organizations and individuals related to railway activities, and State management in the sector.
The same day, legislators debated the draft Law on Denunciation (amended), saying the issuance of the revised law is significant as it creates favorable conditions for citizens to exercise their rights to denunciation.
After hearing deputies’ opinions on forms of denunciation, Government Inspector General Phan Van Sau said denunciations reported by email with e-signature and other e-forms with clear information as well as names and addresses of denunciators will undergo legal processes.
Some law-makers underlined the need to identify responsibility of agencies for protecting accusers.
