Ho Chi Minh city plans to organize numerous activities to mark the 71st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).
On September 2, municipal officials are scheduled to offered incense and lay wreaths to late Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Ton Duc Thang at the Ho Chi Minh Museum – Ho Chi Minh city branch, the Ton Duc Thang Museum, and the Ho Chi Minh President Memorial Park.

Firework display will be conducted in the Saigon River’s tunnel in District 2 and the Dam Sen Park in District 11, funded by donations.
Many art performances will also take place across the city.
A photo exhibition featuring the nation’s revolutionary struggle and achievements will be held along the streets of Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi beginning on August 31.
Several sport games will be organized to celebrate the anniversaries, including a bicycle race around the city on September 2 and a table tennis competition from August 25-27.
