Hailing the visit, Dung said that it is important as the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties. She congratulated Cambodian people on great achievements they have made over the past years.
For his part, Nhem Valy briefed the host on the formation and development of the FDCM with the support and assistance of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Nhem Valy noted that the two countries are working together in building statues commemorating the Vietnam-Cambodia friendship, which symbolize the bilateral ties as well as sacrifice of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers.
As neighbors, Vietnam and Cambodia should continue working together to foster their friendship and solidarity while supporting each other for common development, he added.
