At the event, VITA Vice President Vu The Binh said that the forum aimed to help Vietnamese tourists understand right and wrong behaviors when traveling abroad.
According to reports, about 57 million Vietnamese spent their holiday at domestic tourist sites while more than 6 million Vietnamese traveled abroad in 2015. Vietnamese tourists still behave as badly as they do at home while traveling in foreign countries. Such bad habits will harm Vietnam’s image in the eyes of international friends, especially as Vietnam participates in the global economic integration process.
Participants agreed that relevant agencies should focus on enhancing education to improve Vietnamese tourists' manners to foster a positive global image of Vietnamese tourists.
