PANO - The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) presented the 2015 Ta Quang Buu awards to excellent scientists on May 16th in Hanoi, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.

Vietnamese scientists with outstanding research works in natural science and engineering are annually rewarded.

Nine out of 43 registered research works were submitted to the jury, and three of them were on the final list for the awards. They included the scientific projects of Prof. Dinh Dung from the Institute Information Technology of the Vietnam National University (VNU), Prof. Nguyen Dong Yen from the Institute of Mathematics under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Ass. Prof. Tran Thanh Hai from the Hanoi University of Mine and Geology.

In addition, the award for young scientist was presented to Ass. Prof. Pham Hoang Hiep from the Institute of Mathematics of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
