PANO - The Hanoi municipal People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project of Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment System in Thanh Liet commune, Thanh Tri district, on October 7.

The facility will be built on an area of 13 hectares with modern technologies. It is expected to treat 270,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day, benefiting nearly 900,000 residents in seven districts, including Ba Dinh, Dong Da, Thanh Xuan, Hoang Mai, Ha Dong, Thanh Tri and Tu Liem.

The project will cost 66.7 billion Yen, including 56.1 billion Yen from ODA of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and 10.6 billion Yen from the Vietnamese side.
