PANO - Khanh Hoa Provincial Defence-Security Education Council has opened a course to provide knowledge of defence-security to 100 Buddhist nuns and monks from Khanh Hoa Buddhism School.
During the three day course starting on October 6th, the trainees will study special subjects including the Party and the State’s standpoints, guidelines and policies on religion, management and protection of Vietnam’s sovereignty over seas and islands in the new period, Khanh Hoa province’s socio-economic development, defence-security missions over the past years, the whole people in the protection of national security and the building of grassroots forces to ensure security and order in the locality, and acts of foiling schemes of using religion to sabotage Vietnam’s revolution.
The course aimed at raising Buddhist monks’ and nuns’ awareness and responsibilities for the mission of maintaining political security, social order and security in the locality, contributing to defending the nation in the new context.
