The Vietnamese Youth and Student Association (VYSA) in Japan on January 15 held a congress for the 2012-2013 term on the threshold of the 2012 Tet festival.
Present at the event were representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy and hundreds of Vietnamese students in Japan.

They elected a new executive board with Nguyen Thi Thu Hong as President.
In 2011, the association held a job fair, a football tournament and many other activities to strengthen solidarity and mutual assistance among Vietnamese students, while advertising Vietnam’s images to Japanese community.
In November, the association sponsored a music gala to raise funds for victims of the tsunami and earthquake in Japan on March 11.
