Luu Phuong Linh from the East Asia Institute of Management rose above nine other candidates to win the first prize after competing in three categories of Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), talent and improvisation.
All proceeds from ticket sales and the cash prize of SGD 1,000 were donated to Singapore’s Rare Disorders Society (RDSS) – a non-profit organization initiated by parents of children with LSD (Lysosomal Storage Disorder), aiming to create awareness of various life threatening rare diseases (RD).
There are currently 10,000 Vietnamese students studying in Singapore. They have contributed significantly to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
