* On January 21, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands held a gathering to celebrate Tet for overseas Vietnamese (OVs).

At the event, Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa expressed her delight at the achivements of the Vietnamese community in the Netherlands and their contributions to the homeland’s development.

She affirmed that OVs are an indispensable part of Vietnam, serving as a bridge to enhance the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries. The ambassador hoped OVs in the Netherlands continue upholding their patriotism, contributing to building Vietnam as a properous country.

On the occasion, the embassy handed over money, raised by the Vietnamese Students’ Association in the Netherlands, to Thai Nguyen University and Xin Man district’s Youth Union chapter to upgrade Khau Tao Kindergarten and Primary School in Xin Man district, Ha Giang province.

* Previously, on January 14, the Vietnamese community in Mozambique gathered to celebrate the upcoming lunar New Year (Tet) festival in Maputo city.

Ambassdor Nguyen Van Trung conveyed New Year greetings of the Party’s, and State’s leaders to the OVs community. The ambassador highly appreciated contributions and efforts made by the Vietnamese community in Mozambique over the past year by organizing meaningful activities, and turning their hearts to the homeland.

The participants at the event were entertained by art performances and tasted Vietnamese traditional dishes, made by Vietnamese restaurants in Maputo city.
