Linda Lê, a well-known French writer of Vietnamese origin, will attend a seminar entitled “Strange foreigners” at L’Espace in Hanoi on October 13th and at L’Espace in Hue City two days later.
Her two novels, “Slander” (Vu khống) and “Playing with fire again” (Lại chơi với lửa), have been translated into Vietnamese and published in Vietnam.
Linda Lê’s literary works have won admiration from hundreds of universities worldwide because they are lively evidences of post-feminism and post-colonialism and at the same time the answer to the question of how to live in a foreign country.
The seminar this time will touch on the question of how a person living in a foreign country without the mother tongue can swim amid the gradual fading of fundamental values and cultural evolution.
