Troubled trawler and fishermen rescued at sea
PANO - Ship SAR 412 of the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center Region II (Danang MRCC) on January 3 successfully saved and took troubled trawler QNa 95979 TS with six fishermen aboard ashore.
The Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command provides fishermen with life jackets.
Earlier, at 11:53, January 2, Trawler QNa 95979 TS, captained by Le Van Mai, from Binh Minh commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province, sent a mayday signal off west Hoang Sa archipelago when it was about to sink. After receiving the information, the center sent Ship SAR 412 to the rescue.
At 16:45, the ship approached the troubled trawler and gave medical aid to the fishermen.
At 8:30 on January 3, Ship SAR 412 safely towed the trawler with six fishermen ashore.
* The same day, Nghe An border troops successfully saved fishing boat NA90689 TS with its seven fishermen.
Earlier, on January 2, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command received a mayday signal from the boat which was captained by Tran Van The, from Tho Tien hamlet, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province.
Receiving the signal, the Command sent Ship BP 06-19-01 to the scene.
At 6:00 on January 3, the ship approached the fishing boat and safely towed it and all fishermen ashore.
