Military medical personnel of Song Tu Tay Infirmary taking care of fisherman Nguyen Van Nhi

Earlier at 7 p.m. on August 19, fisherman Nguyen Van Nhi (born in 1975 in Binh Minh commune, Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province) had instep injury while working aboard trawler QNa 95122 TS. Fisherman Nhi then had swelling and redness around his wound and felt fatigue and dizziness. He was unable to stand up by himself.

Having been taken to Song Tu Tay Island, the patient had his health examined by the infirmary’s military medical personnel. Doctors diagnosed that the patient had vestibular disorders and post-operative wound infection (fisherman Nguyen Van Nhi had a surgery on the left instep three weeks ago). Immediately, the infirmary’s doctors put the injured fisherman on a drip, provided him with anti-vertigo drugs, changed the bandage, removed necrotic tissues, and gave him antibiotics to reduce swelling.

According to Naval Captain Tran Van Hung, the patient’s health is stable now. He continues staying in the infirmary for further supervision and treatment.
