Naval Region 2 mission concludes visit to units in the Southern continental shelf
PANO - Mission No.2 of the Naval Region 2 Command, led by Senior Colonel Huynh Vinh Tien, Deputy Commander, on January 16 concluded its voyage visiting and presenting Tet (Lunar New Year festival) gifts to troops on DK1 platforms and the local civilian leadership and people on the Con Dao island.

During the ten-day visit, the mission members and reporters from the central and local press agencies transferred various kinds of essential commodities and Tet gifts to troops of DK1/15, DK1/11, DK1/12 and DK1/14, DK1/10 platforms and islanders of Con Dao island (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).
The mission also presented Tet gifts to ship 937 and ship 954, which are on duty in the Southern continental shelf of the country.
At all stops, the delegation extended Tet greetings, and presented gifts to troops and people; encouraged them to overcome hardships; closely watch situational developments, well implement the directions and leadership of the Naval Region 2 Command, and promote cooperation with other forces so as to firmly protect sacred sovereignty over the country's waters, islands and continental shelf.
