Military units active in COVID-19 prevention
PANO – Military units have actively implemented their assigned missions in response to COVID-19.
On March 22, the Military Broadcasting Center (QPVN channel), the Doanh Nghiep and Hoi Nhap (Business and Integration) Magazine, and the Coslady Vietnam Co., Ltd. handed over 5,000 hand sanitizer containers to the Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guards. In addition, the sponsors presented 20 gifts to encourage local forces on duty at Moc Bai International Border Gate in an effort to prevent the pandemic.

* As of March 22, units of Military Region 5 have received 2,611 Vietnamese citizens returning from pandemic-hit countries and taken them to ten concentrated quarantine areas. Notably, 1,295 of them have fulfilled the required quarantine time and returned to their hometowns. The military region has also established its third field hospital and prepared personnel and facilities at 23 quarantine areas, which can receive up to 7,800 citizens.
Meanwhile, as many as 12,046 citizens are in quarantine in localities of Military Region 4 as of March 22. Among them, 3,288 people are staying at units of the military region and 8,758 others are at other quarantine areas in the localities.
