Accordingly, the delegation offered incense and flowers in tribute to heroic martyrs. A representative of the Management Board of the site provided delegates with information about the history of Tran Hung Dao Forest. The forest not only witnessed the birth of the Vietnam Dissemination and Liberation Armed Team (the predecessor of the Vietnam People's Army) but also was a place where important revolutionary activities took place.
The delegation toured the display space of exhibits and listened to stories about the glorious history of the nation.
According to Major General Nguyen Van Nam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Medical University, the journey aimed to raise awareness of officers, soldiers, cadets and staff of the university of the traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army, thereby heightening their responsibility in building and protecting the Fatherland.
The “return-to-the-root” journey was seen as a bridge connecting the past and present, contributing to arousing patriotism and inspiring young officers and cadets to make more contribution to the cause of national protection.
