Military Medical Academy meets with its first officer to undertake duties at MINUSCA
PANO - On December 19 in Hanoi, the Military Medical Academy held a conference to assign tasks for its first officer to undertake duties at the U.N. Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).
At the event, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Kien, Director of the academy, congratulated Senior Captain Nguyen Phuong Linh who is a female officer at the school’s Foreign Languages Faculty and the very first staff of the school to be deployed to the MINUSCA as a communications officer.

Gen. Kien asked the female officer to thoroughly embrace and strictly observe Vietnam’s foreign policies, military discipline, the U.N.’s regulations and the host country’s laws. He urged the officer to effectively fulfill her duties, contributing to affirming Vietnamese officers’ competence and accelerating the professional and effective participation of the Vietnam People’s Army in U.N. peacekeeping operations.
At the same time, she was requested to bring into play achievements obtained over the past time, the tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army and virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers to fulfill all future missions, and popularize the tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army among international colleagues and local people and authorities.
In turn, Linh affirmed that she is confident to fulfill missions assigned by Vietnamese defense leaders and the U.N. and expressed her honor to join the U.N. humanitarian activities and contribute to peace and stability in the host country.
