The event was part of the ongoing 12th Whole Military Television Festival in Can Tho city.
The recipients, Nguyen Thi Roi and Nguyen Thi Bon - the relatives of martyrs, once faced housing difficulties.
The houses were built at a cost of VND 240 million, including VND 140 million from the General Department of Politics, the Military Region 9 Command and the Military Broadcasting Center.

Speaking at the event, Gen. Nghia stressed that over the past years, the Party, the State and the military have always taken good care of national contributors. These activities reflected the Vietnamese tradition “When drinking water, remember its source," he noted.
On this occasion, the delegation also presented 14 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to policy beneficiaries in Tan Dien commune.
* The Military Region 3 Command handed over a gratitude house to wounded soldier Pham Thanh Bien in Giao Phong commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province. The 100sq.m.-house was built at a cost of more than VND 200 million, including VND 70 million from the gratitude fund of Military Region 3.
* The Binh Dinh provincial Border Guard Command, in association with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, provided free health check-ups and medicines and presented gifts to more than 300 national contributors and poor people in Phu Quy island district (Binh Thuan province) at a total cost of VND 200 million.
* South Laos Friendship Co., Ltd. under the Military Region 5 Command mobilized 11 troops and three automobiles to support flood-hit people in Vaclay village, Kaleum district, Laos' Sekong province. The company donated VND 54 million to 30 families whose houses were severely damaged by floods; presented 500 sets of clothes; provided free health check-ups and medicines for 87 local people; and sprayed pesticides to kill mosquitoes and insects.
