Fifty local families badly affected by the typhoon also received VND 1 million each from the mission.

Typhoon Noru made a landfall in Ly Son island district, Quang Ngai province, causing heavy damages to local property, traffic facilities, and farm produce. Some 250 houses were unroofed; nearly 70 hectares of onion in the summer-fall crop were damaged; and two ships and 14 canoes anchoring in storm shelters were sunk. The estimated losses were at over VND 62 billion.
