In the remote Keng Du commune, home to the Kho Mu ethnic group, floods severely damaged roads, houses, and crops. The Keng Du Border Post coordinated with local authorities to send teams to each village, assisting residents in cleaning up, repairing homes, and resuming production. The unit also cooperated with the health sector to provide free medical check-ups and medicines for the elderly and children. Soldiers prepared gifts, such as clothing, notebooks, and pens, for students at border schools.
In Nhon Mai commune, floods caused extensive losses to infrastructure and farming. However, thanks to the concerted efforts of local authorities and the Nhon Mai Border Post, residents gradually restored normal life. Soldiers worked side by side with villagers to clear canals, repair landslides, and secure irrigation for the winter-spring crop. These practical deeds symbolized the close bond between troops and the people in the border region.

At Chau Khe Border Post, the water supply system from the mountain summit to the unit and nearby villages was seriously damaged. Officers and soldiers promptly repaired and restored it, ensuring sufficient water for both troops and residents.
Meanwhile, Tam Quang Border Post supported local schools by repairing classrooms and collaborating with Tam Quang Kindergarten to organize the “Free Nutritious Porridge” program for children in remote border areas. Each bowl of hot porridge prepared by the soldiers brought warmth and encouragement to students facing many hardships.
Le Hong Quang, Principal of Tam Quang Kindergarten, said that border guard officers and soldiers always assist the school in maintaining facilities and improving learning conditions, while also initiating activities to care for the health and wellbeing of local children.
