Under the Ministry of National Defense’s decision, Maj. Khanh, an assistant of the International Relation Division under the Vietnam Coast Guard, will take on duties at the IFC from August 10, 2024 to February 10, 2025. His tasks are sharing maritime news, reporting to and informing relevant countries upon receiving information about maritime incidents at IFC, contacting relevant Vietnamese agencies to share information in case of a related incident, participating in discussions with colleagues at IFC to analyze information, supporting the planning and implementation of IFC activities; and staying ready to carry out external affairs as a representative of the Vietnam Coast Guard in Singapore, and more.

Khanh is the second officer of the Vietnam Coast Guard to work at the IFC. He has good command of foreign language, professional expertise, and skills in research, analysis, and information technology, meeting the IFC’s criteria.

Congratulating Maj. Khanh on his new post at the IFC, Maj. Gen. Vu Trung Kien said that it is the officer’s honor, pride and heavy responsibility as well.

He asked Maj. Khanh to be aware of his position, missions, working environment, strictly observe Vietnamese Party, State, and military’s foreign policy, and the host country’s regulations and laws.

Maj. Khanh was requested to continue training, acquire more knowledge, promote sense of responsibility, wisdom and stance of a young coast guard officer, exert efforts to fulfill assignments, and promptly provide information about maritime safety and security-related cases to the Vietnam Coast Guard force, helping the force accomplish its maritime law enforcement task, contributing to maintaining maritime security and safety in the region and the world.

Gen. Kien asked Maj. Khanh to actively spread the images of Vietnam, its people, its military and coast guard force among international friends and local people and ensure safety during task performance.
