On implementing March 3’s tasks, the board issued instruction documents to functional units in the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND) on organizing emulation movements in response to the Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) Week 2022 and in celebration of the 13th National Women’s Congress in line with reality and the COVID-19 pandemic developments. Meanwhile, it also made thorough preparation for delegates to participate in the congress.

Addressing the event, on behalf of the GDP leaders, General Can acknowledged great efforts of the military women in performing assigned missions as well as conducting emulation movements. Their achieved outcomes in the last year will pave the way for the successful new year’s task performance.

General Can also requested the board to continue to make recommendations to the CMC and MND, directly the GDP on women work and movements in the whole military in the coming years.

The GDP’s deputy chief expressed his belief that with the all-out efforts, the military women would overcome all difficulties to excellently accomplish their entrusted missions.

* On the same day, in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, the Naval Academy, in coordination with the provincial general hospital, launched a talk show themed “Women and COVID-19 prevention and control work and post-pandemic issues.”

During the event, delegates recalled glorious traditions and noble virtue of Vietnamese women throughout the history, contributing to raising participants’ awareness of the responsibility and role of women, and spirit of solidarity, fighting for the goal of gender equality and development of Vietnamese women. Furthermore, doctors with extensive experience in the prevention and control of Covid-19 and post-pandemic problems also attended and shared their experience.

On behalf of the academy, Political Commissar Rear Admiral Chu Ngoc Sang acknowledged and hailed the contribution of the women in overcoming difficulties in teaching and implementing scientific research so as to best perform the unit’s tasks over the past time.

During the meeting in Naval Region 2

* The Naval Region 2 Command, on March 7, held a meeting for its military women in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

On this occasion, the unit’s Deputy Political Commissar Naval Captain Dang Manh Hung congratulated and presented flowers to its female staff.

He also praised their achievements in both fulfilling assigned missions and building home.

* A conference on military women was run in Military Region 4 and chaired by its Deputy Political Commissar Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa on March 7.

The program equipped participants with knowledge on building home, community and society; violence prevention and control... in the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration.

* Leaders of Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 hosted a get-together for its female troops in celebration of the 112th anniversary of the International Women’s Day (March 8, 1982), the 1982nd anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung (Trung sisters) uprising.

* A similar event was also organized in Division 968 (Military Region 4) for the unit’s female soldiers to recall traditions of women in general as well as summarize some outstanding achievements of its Women’s Union in recent years.
