PANO - The Ho Chi Minh City's Women Cultural House, in association with the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, kicked off a painting exhibition themed "The home country's lifestyle" on March 8th in celebration of the International Women's Day.
30 artworks of 24 painters from the Ngan Ha Female Artists Club, featuring familiar subjects such as the home country, the people, .etc, were on display at the event.
In addition, an exchange themed "Flowers on the land of steel" with writer Ma Thien Dong and Cu Chi's female guerrillas was also be held. The organizers presented 270 gifts to needy female workers and students during the event.

* The same day, the Soc Trang Provincial Military Command held a get-together for its Women’s Union's members. Last year, the unit's women performed their tasks with outstanding results, such as raising a VND-115-million fund, donating nearly VND 40 million to gratitude funds, and providing over 43,000 sets of food to needy patients.
At the event, the unit's commanders praised the women's achievements and hoped that they would continue making greater contributions to the command's emulation drive in the time to come.
* The Women’s Union of Depot J106 of the Department of Vehicles under the General Department of Techniques of the Vietnam People's Army held a get-together and sports competition, with the women’s unions of the depots of J102 and J112, Factory Z157 and depot 834 of the Department of Military Weapons. At the event, the participants shared their experience in both career and life. On this occasion, the women’s unions also organized many meaningful activities such as returning to the roots, and presenting gifts to local kindergartens, policy families, and heroic Vietnamese mothers.
