PANO - The managing board of Ho Chi Minh City- based Book Street, in association with the city's Women Newspaper and the Southern Women's Museum, launched a week-long event themed "Roses for Mothers and Children" from March 7th to 13th on Nguyen Van Binh Street, Ben Nghe ward, District 1. The event, aiming to promote reading culture among women, features various activities such as exhibitions and a scholarship handover ceremony.

*The Lao Cai provincial department of Information and Communication concluded a writing contest about Vietnamese women during the national industrialization and modernization cause. The contest was to promote information dissemination and education on Vietnamese women's morals and virtue in the province.
* The Binh Dinh provincial Women's Union has recently worked with Kim Son Prison to provide knowledge on laws of gender equality for women who are working at the prison and its female inmates. The activity aimed to raise women's awareness and exchange their experience with each other, contributing to helping them fulfill their assigned mission and build happy families.
* The Thanh Hoa provincial Women’s Union directed its constituent units to enhance information dissemination and education about Vietnamese women's morals and virtue and strengthen emulation drives in close combination with the localities' socio-economic and political tasks, contributing to improving living standards for local women.
* The An Giang provincial Labour Union held a competition themed "Praising the country, the national sea and islands, and Vietnamese women." As many as 140 women took part in flower arrangement and cooking competitions. Additionally, the event also featured outdoor activities such as a singing contest and game shows, to name but a few.
