“Uncle Ho with border troops” monument inaugurated in Lai Chau province
PANO - The Border Post of Ma Lu Thang Border Gate under the Lai Chau provincial Border Guard Command, on March 2, held a ceremony to inaugurate the “Uncle Ho with border troops” monument.
This is the construction in celebration of the 65th founding anniversary of the Border Guard Force (March 3, 1959), and 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Border Guard Festive Day (March 3, 1989).
The construction of nearly 130 square meter was built from January 16, 2024 with the total cost of VND 280 million.
Viet Dragon (RongViet) Securities supported VND 200 million, while troops of the Border Post of Ma Lu Thang Border Gate donated VND 50 million and working days to build the monument.
The construction contributes to educating troops on the traditions of the force. It is also considered a place for troops to report their achievements to Uncle Ho, and remind them to overcome difficulties to well fulfill their assigned missions, contributing to firmly protecting national sovereignty in border areas, and ensuring political security and social order.

It also helps educate troops about traditions, encourage them to build up the shared borderline of peace, friendship, solidarity and development.
At the ceremony, delegates offered incense and flowers at the monument. On the occasion, RongViet Securities presented flowers and gifts to the Border Post of Ma Lu Thang Border Gate on the occasion of the 65th founding anniversary of the Border Guard Force and 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Border Guard Festive Day.
