Refresher course on civil defense launched for Northern military units

Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, chaired the opening ceremony.

During the three-day course, participants from Northern military units will be equipped with documents of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Ministry of National Defense on civil defense.

In addition, they will observe two sample training teams practicing mock-up situations such as responding to a forest fire.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Lt. Gen. Binh asked the trainers to do their utmost to convey their knowledge and experience and to the trainees during the course.

He asked the organizing panel to run the course as planned, evaluate trainees’ learning results and regulation observance.

The deputy chief of the General Staff required all trainees to follow the regulations of the organizing panel, actively study emerging issues and contribute their opinions to bettering the course.

He urged relevant agencies of Army Corps 1 to collaborate with the organizing panel to ensure logistical supplies for the course.
