Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region 4 Command Major General Doan Xuan Buong, and Chairman of the Quang Binh provincial People’s Council Tran Hai Chau attended the event.
Earlier, two special trains, carrying nearly 1,400 officers and soldiers from various military units and local militia forces, departed from Hanoi Station for Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the parade to mark the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and the National Reunification.
After arriving at Dong Hoi Station, the delegation was welcomed by leaders of the Military Region 4 Command, Quang Binh province, the provincial military command, veterans, and members of women's associations, youth organizations, and students.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Quang Binh provincial People’s Council Tran Hai Chau expressed his joy and honor at welcoming the forces to participate in the parade. He wished the participants good health and success, encouraging them to continue to uphold the traditions of their homeland and units and strive to complete the tasks entrusted by the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense.
On this occasion, the leaders of the Military Region 4 Command and Quang Binh province presented gifts, worth nearly VND 500 million in total, as an encouragement to the forces.
According to the Ministry of National Defense's plan, nearly 3,200 people will participate in the event.
