Reportedly, the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam invited defense leaders from Russia, China, Cuba, Laos, and Cambodia to attend the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day and requested the military forces from the three neighboring countries having shared borderline with Vietnam,  which are China, Laos, and Cambodia, to send military contingents to participate in the parade. In addition, Vietnam also invited military attachés from foreign embassies in Vietnam to attend the celebration in Ho Chi Minh City.

In his remarks at the meeting, General Chien urged relevant agencies and units to be more active in carrying out their assigned tasks, promoting diplomatic exchanges... He also requested that the Ministry of National Defense review and approve plans for diplomatic protocols to serve international guests and organize foreign affairs activities for defense leaders during the event.

General Chien also asked functional units to work with agencies and units to ensure the respectful and safe reception for international delegations and military contingents, and in line with the cultural and hospitality traditions of the Vietnamese people and the Vietnam People’s Army.

The 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day is a significant political event for Vietnam. The participation of defense delegations from other countries will not only contribute to the success of the event but also demonstrate the developing and strengthened defense cooperation between Vietnam and its traditional friends. Furthermore, the event will help enhance Vietnam’s image and reputation on the international arena, reflecting the spirit of cooperation, mutual respect, and the readiness to work together to build a peaceful and sustainable environment.
