In Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province, the program was launched by the Coast Guard Region 4 Command under the chair of its Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar, and Head of the Emulation and Rewards Council Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Dung. The program aims to popularize among troops the national patriotic tradition, national pride, revolutionary will, “determined-to-combat and to-win” spirit, and glorious feats-of-arms of our troops and people in the historic 12-day-and-night operation in December 1972. The program also highlights the rightness of the guideline on people’s war and all people’s defense under the leadership of the Party and Uncle Ho.
The emulation program is seen as a motivation for the coast guard force of Region 4 to effectively implement the first exchange “Vietnam coast guards and friends” in 2022, contributing to strengthening mutual understanding and gaining high consensus in coordination between the Vietnamese coast guard force and other regional law enforcement forces. The success of the exchange will be a good foundation for more international cooperation and defense diplomacy activities in the future.
Stressing the political significance of the emulation program, Colonel Dung asked the coast guards to raise their awareness and determination, promote solidarity, overcome difficulties, actively grasp their duties, observe military disciplines, stay ready to undertake and complete all assignments.
* During the program, the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command will enhance information dissemination and education to raise troops’ awareness, responsibility, and determination; promote force-regularity building; ensure safety and observance of military discipline and State laws; and try its best to excellently fulfill all assigned tasks.
