The same day, General Binh and his entourage visited Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command and its affiliate - the Border Post of Le Thanh International Border Gate.
General Binh applauded the provincial border guards for their achievements in the past. He asked the local border guard force to embrace all high levels’ resolutions and directives, promote solidarity, overcome difficulties, and strictly control border gates and border paths.
The force was urged to further prevent illegal entry and exit across the border, trade fraud, and drug trafficking. They should also apply COVID-19 preventive measures to ensure good health and adequate equipment for those on duty at checkpoints. Additionally, they should closely work with local forces, enhance border external affairs, better mass mobilization work, and assist locals in poverty reduction and hunger elimination.
