* Thanks to good preparations, the quality of recruits from Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces has been improved in terms of health and education in comparison with previous years. In Bac Giang province, over 30% of the enlistees hold university and college degrees.

* Among recruits of Yen Bai province, over 65 percent of them are from minority ethnic groups. Before the handover ceremony, localities in the province held many meaningful activities, such as artistic exchanges to encourage enlistees to best carry out their military service.

* Notably, almost all new enlistees of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri provinces have volunteered to join the army. The localities also presented gifts worth at least VND 800,000 to each enlistee.

* All units of Army Corp 4 immediately provided good accommodation with decent living conditions to their new enlistees.

* Localities of the Ho Chi Minh City held a camping festival for new enlistees with wide range of activities, such as artistic exchanges, camp decoration contest, camp fire, gift presentation, and talk shows local officials and youths, and more. The camping festival concludes on February 16.
