Over the past 74 years, the Vietnam People’s Army and Public Security Forces under the leadership of the Party and Uncle Ho have always maintained tight solidarity, close coordination in fighting foreign invaders in wartime and protecting national security and ensuring public order and security in peacetime.
Furthermore, the two key armed forces of the Party have absolutely ensured security for Party and State leaders, national-level events, key projects as well as for international delegations visiting the country.
At the meeting, delegates recalled the glorious traditions and feats of arms jointly made by the Vietnam People’s Army and the Public Security Forces, as well as the solidarity and effective coordination between the two forces in protecting national security, ensuring public order and security.
In the current international context with both opportunities and challenges, delegates believed that the two armed forces should enhance solidarity and coordination to firmly protect national sovereignty, national security and national interests.
Regarding the domestic situation, as hostile and reactionary forces are intensifying their operations, they stressed, the two armed forces should promote coordination and cooperation in detecting and defeating any plots and acts of sabotage against the Party, State and nation of hostile and reactionary forces so as to protect the great national unity bloc, and maintain a secure, safe and peaceful environment for national socio-economic development.
The two armed forces should also participate actively and effectively in disaster relief, search and rescue missions, support people in need and join localities in building the new rural model.
Particularly, the two forces should join efforts in building the whole people defense posture, people’s security position and defensive areas in the current context.
