After inspecting several production lines at the factory, General Lich acknowledged and praised the establishment’s remarkable achievements over the past years, and asked the factory to continue grasping the Party’s viewpoint on smartly combining economic development and implementation of defense missions as well as the Central Military Commission’s resolutions on rearranging and upgrading military businesses towards 2020 and the following years.

Representatives of relevant units of the Ministry of National Defense accompany the defense minister were required to collect the factory’s proposals to submit to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense for consideration and approval.

* The same day, the mission inspected the competition for commanders and political commissars of centrally-governed cities and provinces’ military commands held at the Mieu Mon National Training Center. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam, Deputy Chief of the General Staff and Lieutenant General Do Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics joined the inspection at the training center.

During the inspection, delegates were briefed on the preparations for and initial results of the examination. Accordingly, the organizing board prepared well for the tests whilst all participants showed their good preparation for the examination.

Talking to the organizing board, General Lich underlined that the competition is a significant event while, based on the scores of each participant, Party committees and chains-of-command at all levels could draw up plans to improve leadership of provincial-level commanders and political commissars, contributing to improving the efficiency and quality of provincial-level commands’ implementation of military - defense missions. The defense minister also urged the examinees to do their best to get best scores in all tests as well as to draw good lessons from practices at the examination and to improve their abilities in command, Party work and political work so as to better perform their tasks in the future.
