Defense leader inspects air defense artillery unit

After listening to a report of the unit’s commanding officer, General Cuong directly sent Tet greetings to the regiment’s Company 71 that is stationed farmost from the regiment’s headquarters.

At Company 71, General Cuong issued an order to shift the combat readiness posture of the company and provided a scenario to inspect their training quality. Especially, while they were conducting the exercise, the general also tested several positions’ professional competence and combat skills.

After that, General Cuong took the occasion to check the company’s documents, barracks, and combat readiness situations during Tet holiday.

In his concluding speech, General Cuong highly appreciated the efforts of the regiment and the company in strictly observing combat readiness regulations and holding programs to welcome Tet for on-duty troops.

Underscoring the importance of maintaining combat readiness posture, the chief of the General Staff requested the inspected officers and soldiers to thoroughly embrace higher levels’ resolutions and directives and master combat plans. Especially, they should seriously increase vigilance, monitor and manage targets in sky to be ready for handling emerging issues in any circumstances.

Meanwhile, General Cuong requested young officers and soldiers of the unit to raise their awareness of allowance savings, and not to borrow on interest and fall into social evils.

On the occasion of the lunar New Year, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and Defense Ministry, General Cuong sent Tet greetings to all officers and soldiers of Company 71, Regiment 280, wishing them good health, success, and happiness, continuously fulfilling assigned tasks and contributing to firmly safeguarding the country’s airspace sovereignty.
