According to the organizing board’s results, the tank team of Vietnam ranks second in the group, behind South Ossetia, after completing the competition and annihilating all five targets in 32 minutes 20 seconds.

In the “Tank Biathlon” event, participating teams are required to cross 11 obstacles and destroy three No.12 targets with the main gun from a distance of 1600, 1700, 1800m, one No.25 target (helicopter) with a 12.7 mm machine gun from a distance of 800-1000m, and one No.9 target (anti-tank grenade launcher) with PKT machine gun from a distance of 600-800m.

During the first competition day, the Vietnamese tank crew was encouraged by overseas Vietnamese in Russia and personnel of the Tank Team of the VPA.

For the Vietnamese team, the encouraging results serve as the driving force for the second and third crews to compete better in the next rounds of the ongoing Tank Biathlon event of the Army Games 2020.
