Vietnam, China promote border exchange
PANO - Four International Border Gate posts in Lao Cao province and the Lao Cai provincial Border Guard Command on January 31 received a delegation of the Hekou Border Guard Battalion of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
It was an exchange visit on the occasion of the coming Lunar New Year festival (Tet) 2019.
In recent years, the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China has been cemented and developed to a new height. Besides, cooperation and exchange activities of the two countries' border guard forces in general, between the four International Border Gate posts and Hekou Border Guard Battalion in particular, have been increasingly expanded.

Over the past time, the border guard forces between Vietnam’s Lao Cai province and China’s Yunnan province have always promoted coordination activities in managing, protecting border gates; preventing and fighting crimes, and ensuring the security and order in the border areas through many practical contents and measures.
Thanks to these achievements, credibility, solidarity and friendship between the two countries have been promoted constantly, becoming a border cooperation model on the Vietnam-China land borderline.
At the event, a representative of the Chinese delegation extended Tet wishes to all troops of the Lao Cai provincial Border Guard Command, and hoped that the relationship between the two countries' border guard forces would be further strengthened in the coming time.
On the occasion, the two sides organized tours to visit a flower market in Lao Cai city. They also agreed to expand their achievements gained last years, and bring their cooperation to a new height, and build a borderline of peace, friendship, stability and development.
