Vietnam, Belarus promote cooperation on military science
PANO - Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), on October 29 received Colonel Buzin Nikolai Evgenievich, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, who is on a working visit to Vietnam, at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.
The visit took place in the context of the constant development of Vietnam-Belarus defense cooperation, especially following the official visit to Vietnam by the Belarusian Defense Minister in November 2018. Leaders of the two ministries of defense agreed that military science is now an important cooperation after the signing of an agreement on cooperation in military science between the two countries in November 2018.
General Tan said that the visit of Colonel Buzin Nikolai Evgenievich is a vivid manifestation of the goodwill and determination of both sides in realizing their commitments in military science.
Colonel Buzin Nikolai Evgenievich informed General Tan of the positive results of the previous working session with the Department of Military Science under the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense. The event aims to strengthen mutual understanding, set up a framework for future plan, and propose measures to implement the contents of the signed agreement.
General Tan also suggested that the two sides direct authorized agencies (the Vietnamese Department of Military Science and the Scientific Research Institute of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus) to actively exchange information, share experiences in scientific research, and participate in international scientific conferences.
