Vessel 286 – Le Quy Don departs for Indonesia and Singapore
PANO – Sailing Vessel 286 – Le Quy Don and the mission on board on April 15 departed Nha Trang port in Khanh Hoa province for sea training and visits to Indonesia and Singapore.
According to Senior Captain Nguyen Duc Nam, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Naval Academy and head of the mission, the voyage of the 286 – Le Quy Don this time aims to enhance abilities to master weapons and equipment of senior naval cadets before their graduation.
Besides training activities, the vessel will also visit and hold exchanges with the naval forces of Indonesia and Singapore in order to foster and strengthen friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation between the Vietnam People’s Navy in particular and Vietnamese military in general and the navies and armed forces of Indonesia and Singapore, for the sake of peace, stability and development in the region.
As scheduled, the voyage is scheduled to last from April 15 to May 18 and cover a distance of nearly 2,500 nautical miles.
