Greetings extended to RCAF’s units on Chol Chnam Thmay festival
PANO – A mission of Military Region 7, led by its Commander, Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, visited and sent wishes to Military Regions 1, 2 and 4 under the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) from April 2 to 5 on the occasion of Cambodia’s traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year festival.
At these meetings, General Luong thanked Cambodian localities and units under the three Cambodian military regions for their active assistance given to Vietnam’s teams in searching and collecting remains of Vietnamese volunteer troops and specialists who sacrificed themselves in Cambodia while doing international services in the country.

In turn, the RCAF’s units sincerely thanked the Vietnam People’s Army in general and Vietnam’s Military Region 7 in particular for their support for the Cambodian people in escaping from the Pol Pot genocidal regime and reconstructing Cambodia.
The hosts hoped that the friendship between the two countries would further develop for the sake of the two peoples and militaries.
On this occasion, the Vietnamese delegation laid wreaths and offered incenses at the Friendship Monument dedicated to fallen Vietnamese volunteer troops and specialists in Stung Treng city and at the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument in Kampong Cham province.
