At the reception on March 31 in the Cuban capital of Havana, the Cuban president, who is also first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, confirmed that Cuba always treasures its all-round ties with Vietnam, including the cooperation in historical memory preservation.

The host leader highly appreciated the two sides’ completion of the first episode “Two hearts beat as one” of the series “Vietnam - Cuba defense ties - 60 years of construction and development,” and their joint efforts to produce next episodes.

On the occasion, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez gave the film crew an exclusive interview.

The same day, Three-star General Álvaro López Miera, Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, had a meeting with the Vietnamese delegation, during which he expressed his pleasure about the close coordination between the two sides in the work. He hoped that the second and third episodes of the film will be completed soon.

The documentary film “Vietnam - Cuba defense ties - 60 years of construction and development” is one of the five products of the dossier about the 60-year history of the bilateral defense relations between Vietnam and Cuba.

The first episode “Two hearts beat as one,” broadcast on the Vietnam Television and National Defense TV channels, was handed over to the Cuban Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
