At the meeting, the two ministers compared notes on cooperation in: sending and receiving Vietnamese laborers to the RoK and Korean technical specialists to Vietnam; support for Vietnam to develop a job information system; labor safety and other issues of mutual concern.
The two ministers agreed on measures to check illegal Vietnamese guest workers to the RoK. They officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on sending Vietnamese laborers to work in the RoK under the Employment Permit System of the RoK.
The MoU will open more opportunities for Vietnamese laborers who wish to work in the RoK.
